The
fishing in Trinity County is world class and can be found year round. In
the summer and fall, Chinook and Coho salmon migrate up the river to the
spawning grounds of the Trinity River.
Trophy size Brown Trout can also be found year round. Furthermore, the fly fishing-only section of the river offers some of the North-state's best kept fishing secret. Lewiston Lake is open year round. You can troll (boat rentals are available at the lake at Pine Cove Marine 778-3770), use your own boat, or fish from the bank.
